SEMA Webinar on Website Design Basics

At TCS we make it vitally important that we keep our team and our clients up-to-date on industry news and business management practices. We have a stack 2 feet high of all the industry magazines like Tire Review that I am always resourcing.

This is why I am happy that tomorrow I will be attending one of SEMA’s educational webinars that is dedicated to website design. Being a website expert the information will not be new to me; however, I am looking forward to it so that I can share the information they discuss with our clients.

I will post a recap of what I learn after the webinar, and I encourage any SEMA attendees to sign up to get the information first hand.

How To: Add your email account to Outlook

You can setup a POP account in any email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird.  Following are the settings you need to use to do so:

  • Incoming Mail Server: pop.thirstypixel.com
  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.thirstypixel.com
  • Username: your email address (e.g. bob@mydomain.com)
  • Password: use the password you setup when creating your account

Authentication is required so on the E-mail Accounts page, click “More Setting” to open the “Internet E-mail Settings” window.  Click on the “Outgoing Server” tab and check the box for “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”.  Click OK and finish the setup.

How To: Create New Email Accounts

As part of the website package each clients get a setup of email accounts.  You can create new account or manage the password and forwarding features using the Email Administration Site.  When your site was launched you received an email with the User Account Name and Password.  Use this information to login.Email - add new1

To create new accounts:

  1. Click On “New Email Account” under Quick Links
  2. On the following page you will fill out the form and click on “Add” to add the email account.
  3. You will be redirected the the list of email addresses for your account where you can add more accounts by clicking on “Create Email Account” in the lower right of the page.
